Poverty Reduction in Asia: Drivers, Best Practices and Policy Initiatives
The Asian Development Bank (ADB), in collaboration with the School of Economics, Sogang University in Korea and Emory University in the US, invites submissions of substantial abstracts, or preferably completed but unpublished papers that focus on poverty and related issues, in the developing Asia-Pacific. Theoretical, methodological and empirical research and policy oriented papers are welcome provided that findings, conclusions and policy recommendations are based on solid evidence and appropriate methods. Manuscripts can focus on Asia as a whole, group of countries or individual economies in Asia.

Spanish-language Intensive Training Course 2013 - Nicaragua
OPHI is organising an intensive training course on multidimensional poverty analysis that will be taught in Spanish in Managua, Nicaragua, from 30 August - 7 September 2013. The course, which will be hosted at the Universidad Centroamericana (UCA), will be led by the Researchers and Director of OPHI, and will provide a thorough conceptual and technical introduction to techniques of measuring multidimensional poverty, with a strong emphasis on the Alkire Foster method.
